Great price, better pictures, user friendly
Pros:
Good image quality, Price, great macro, wonderful colors
Cons:
slow shutter speeds if not using flash, lacks viewfinder, scene modes often distort picture
The Bottom Line:
You can't get a digital that takes these quality pictures at this price. If you can deal with the LCD (no viewfinder) and mostly auto controls, check it out.

Author's Review
Whether you're looking to replace your 35mm or APS point & shoot camera or looking to supplement an SLR, this camera is a good buy. First of all, it's Nikon. The lens is as sharp as can be for a 3x optical camera. Honestly, I've had pictures come out looking better than they did in real life in terms of color rendition. I work at a camera store and had been checking out digitals for about 4 months before I bought this little guy. He's great. I've printed a bunch of 6"x8"s and they've come out really nice. Occasionally, if the lighting isn't so great, I've found that glossy looks better than matte, but if you have a good image you can easily get an 8"x10" in matte that looks really good. I will forever be in love with my SLR, but it's nice to be able to e-mail and have a little camera to take everywhere. If you're looking for a high-end or professional digital, this isn't the way to go, but if you're after some great quality point & shoot photos, this camera can take'em. Get yourself rechargable NiMH AA's and the battery life is pretty good for a dig.
