Pros: Takes standard AA batteries, ubiquitous CF memory card, EXCELLENT control placement and menus!
Cons: Minimal lens protection, no provision for filters or auxiliary lenses. Multi-Shot 16 mode inoperative (?)
The Bottom Line: Great anytime always-ready carry along digital!
Review: I was shopping for a new digital camera. I already have an excellent Sony that I'm very happy with, but I wanted something that would be more convenient to carry around. My two major limiting criteria were that it had to have zoom, and it had to use ...

Pros: Good features, cheaper than most cameras.
Cons: Annoying if you are forgetful.
The Bottom Line: This is a good beginner camera but is also good for those who are on a tight budget.
Review: This is an updated review as I felt that my initial one was not as informative.
I've been using this camera for well over five months now, and I have not encountered any problems with it. This camera has all the standard features expected in a... |

Pros: Good image quality, Price, great macro, wonderful colors
Cons: slow shutter speeds if not using flash, lacks viewfinder, scene modes often distort picture
The Bottom Line: You can't get a digital that takes these quality pictures at this price. If you can deal with the LCD (no viewfinder) and mostly auto controls, check it out.
Review: Whether you're looking to replace your 35mm or APS point & shoot camera or looking to supplement an SLR, this camera is a good buy. First of all, it's Nikon. The lens is as sharp as can be for a 3x optical camera. Honestly, I've had pictures come out...

We also used portrait and a few other modes and found them nice. It's only $140 and add a... |

Pros: Great functionality, reliablity, solid construction. Great flash. Nikon, that still means a lot.
Cons: time between first and second frame. Digital.
Review: I was a professional wedding photographer and a sports and news photojournalist. I always prefered Nikon products and lenses, and wouldn't use anything else except when I had to shoot medium format. (Mamiya). I hate digtal, but this camera made it easy ...

Cons: HUNGRY! EATS BATTERIES,BATTERIES,BATTERIES! AC ADAPTER and RECHARGABLES ESSENTIAL!
Review: I bought the camera because its small, seemed easy to use and particularly because it has the 2 inch close up feature, to take pictures of watches for e-bay listings. Works like a charm, takes detailed images of jewelry, watches etc. Truly IS a cinch to ...

Pros: Inexpensive, high definition, simple, easy to learn
Cons: Not the most professional camera.
Review: As far as quality, it is excellent. It is very easy and simple to use and is a great amateur digital camera. For a camera expert who is very serious about digital photography, you might want something a little higher-end. But for someone who is just ...

Pros: Feature Set, Macro, Zoom, AA batteries
Cons: No Viewfinder, Battery Life, Flash
The Bottom Line: A great introduction to digital photography. Good features and easy to use both the camera and software.
Review: While I have owned a number of point-and-shoot cameras, the Coolpix 2000 was my first foray into the world of digital photography. Since this is an entry-level digital camera, I will review it with this audience in mind. If youre not looking for...

Pros: Image Quality, Price, Zoom, Compact Size
Cons: No optical viewfinder, weak flash
The Bottom Line: The Coolpix 2000 good value for the $. Solid features, quality images. Small size and readily replaceable batteries cement the camera as a good general purpose unit.
Review: Power - Batteries and Battery Life:

Pros: Ease of use, good size, clear pictures, cost
Cons: Batteries quick to discharge, needs rechargables
The Bottom Line: Great for anyone in your family to use. Kids will have no trouble, nor will the adults!
Review: This was my first digital camera. I did a little research on them before buying, so I would not go into it blindly. I learned about the differences between digital & optical zoom, and all that jazz. I set out to buy one in my price range. I needed the ...
