The D200, If You Want It and the Shop Has It, Buy It!

Date of Review:  Mar 8, 2006
The Bottom Line: The D200 is the right 10.2 megapixel camera for those who want the fit, feel and features of the professional D2X at about half the cost
Review: My experience as a professional photographer began in the mid 80's and 90's when I was a photojournalist for a couple of the wire services. During this time I had several motor driven Nikon F3 cameras and access to the company owned Kodak and Fuji...

An Investment for the right photographer.

Date of Review:  Dec 29, 2005
The Bottom Line: D70(s) owners already have a good camera with similar image quality. For those who need the quickness of this camera, you will love the features and handling.
Review: Let us get this out of the way. You will be wasting your money if you do not need the D200's speed. As far as image quality goes, there is not enough difference to justify the cost.

I shoot birds and animals, and I need the speed. The D200...

Using a Nikon D 200 and an 18-135 Nikon lens

Date of Review:  Apr 23, 2009
Review: I don't own one but I've used one and the images it produces are great. I used the D 200 with a Nikon 18-135 lens and the images were sharp and crisp from 18 to 135. Battery life is excellent. The cameras menu is easy to understand and the body with...

Awesome camera

Date of Review:  Jan 30, 2006
Review: I haven't shot with this camera enough yet to write a detailed review, but I will later. The menus system with the camera works very well, and the large, high res LCD screen is great.
Most of all I am impressed with the speed of the camera, and...

My Ideal Settings for the D200

Date of Review:  May 17, 2006
Review: You can read many, many reviews of the D200 in terms of build quality, etc. I sold my D70 (a great camera) and bought the D200 and after about eight weeks I finally found the settings that gave me the best clarity, color, and saturation. Here they...
