Nikon 50mm f1.4 lens

Pros: Clear images.
Great color balance.
AF is fast and nearly perfect.

Cons: No lens hood.
For some reason, Nikon has stopped making them

This is the best lens in my camera bag. I have several Nikon zoom lenses and they all do the job, just not as well as this one for it's intended purpose. This is a fixed lens and the only one you really need. the 85mm f1.4 is probably the ideal fixed lens, but it costs over 1000 dollars. Still, this little baby is not cheap (at around 300 dollars). Performance is near perfect, color match (to reality) is 100%. It is fast and low light photos come out like you would expect. The image is like you were standing there, what your eyes see.
