One of Nikon's worst lenses

As a professional who's been using Nikon equipment for 10 years, this is the worst Nikon lens in my bag. It is also the only one make in China which is probably not incidental. When it was working, it was working fine - fast enough and with sharp results. However it has spent more of it's time out of action. The aperture blades are the chief problem - they keep sticking. I have had times when I've been shooting rolls and rolls of film only to realise later that the aperture had jammed on 1.4.

My other Nikon lenses, which are all older than this one, have almost never gone wrong.

Don't buy this shoddy lens. Look for a good condition second-hand, Japanese-made one.
