Nikon D40 Digital Camera with 18-55mm lens

Bought the D40 on a whim just before Christmas, had used an SLR years back and then had gone to the small, pocket digital cameras we all know so well. The D40 has been great, a lot of fun, easy to use, and takes great pictures. The shutter speed, ability to take pictures of my three year old who is in constant movement, has been terrific. I just bought the 55-200 mm lens, it's reasonably priced and adds a whole new dimension to the camera.

I'd also considered the D50 (old technology, not worth it unless you've got other interchangeable lenses you want to use) and the D80 (maybe some day, but not necessary right now, and a whole lot more $).
