Nikon Coolpix L11 Digital Camera

I'd owned an earlier version of the Coolpix & its battery was dying. I compared several cameras at Best Buy and settled on the L11 as a replacement for my point & shoot camera.

Overall, I was happy with its performance from July 2007 until April 2008 when I tripped during a nature walk & the LCD screen on the camera broke. Nikon apparently does not cover the screen under their warranty. I've owned cameras from Instamatics to a medium format Rollei for over 30 yrs. and traveled the world with SLRs & compact cameras without incident -- and I know my cameras experienced more severe impact on several occasions. I'd say I'm quite disappointed in the end.
