Good Performance for a zoom binocular

The experts don't like zoom binoculars for birding. But the Nikon Zooms are easier than carrying a spotting scope when I need extra magnification. They give as bright and clear a picture as I would expect from a $150 binocular and that is more than adequate for most tasks.

I don't see a big let down in image quality at the higher magnifications. That was a pleasant suprise.
