The right fit from the right cleat!
Date of Review: Jun 19, 2008
The Bottom Line: These cleats are incredible for the price
Over the years I have come across many football cleats. I am at the college football level now and I have had them all. Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Under Armor. The Nike Men's Air Zoom SuperBad cleats are great for any football player. They are a very light-weight, comfortable cleat.
Price:
These cleats originally ran for about $110 but now you can find them at Eastbay.com for about $59.99, which is incredibly cheap for a cleat like this.
Size/weight:
The cleats weigh approximately 13.5 oz w/o the strap and 14.6 oz with the strap. And if this sounds like a lot, trust me its not.
Studs:
I prefer the molded cleats rather than the detachable. These studs are perfect, especially on turf. Whenever I wear detachable cleats I just feel like the studs are always coming off.
Performance:
They were a little tight at first, as are all Nike cleats, but once you break them in they fit just right. For someone with wide feet like myself, they were unusually comfortable. The cleats come with a detachable ankle lockdown strap, which is great for ankle support. I've had the worst of ankle injuries over my career so these straps were very useful.
