It portrays the way that Club music crossed over from underground to mainstream while keeping an essential edge. Miss Jones has the magic touch. Her accent when she sings Libertango makes me tingle (remember that strange french girl who met Mr H. Ford in Paris (Frantic was it?) and kept playing this tape in her car? That's the song!).

Grace Jones is an icon of what clubbing in the early eighties was all about, a mix of funk, mild rap and electropop. A night in clubs like Pyramid, Jungle and even Taboo (London UK), the Palace or les Bains Douches (Paris France) was not complete without an extract from this album.
