I am a huge fan of the New York Rangers. For those of you who are not hockey fans, they are a team that plays in the National Hockey League and have one of the most loyal fan followings throughout the league. Ranger fans are passionate, fanatical, and will support their team through thick and thin.
Am I Too Crazy Having Bought This?
As one of the many crazy Ranger fans out there, I have a lot of different types of Ranger paraphernalia in my house that shows I am a true blue Ranger fan including this, the New York Rangers Floor Pillow. I actually had purchased mine at a local sporting goods store about four years ago for about $15. It can be used to lean on when laying on the floor if for example you are watching television but it better as a display object to show your team loyalty. It is a square cushion about 20 inches by 20 inches.
The pillow itself is in the Rangers' team colors a royal blue with the logo centralized on it. The New York Rangers logo adorns the pillow and in its' simplicity lies its greatness. The word New York runs across the top of the symbol and on a diagonal at a forty five degree angle is the word Rangers. The logo itself comprises the team colors, which are red, white, and blue.
In addition to this item, I own a plethora of items which show that I am a Rangers' fan. I have a portrait hanging in a room that shows the moment after the Ranger won the Stanley Cup back in 1994, a panoramic view of the entire Madison Square Garden as the players skated around and the fan celebrated their great victory. I have a Rangers banner, keychain, and picture of Mark Messier raising the Cup hanging in my cubicle at work. I am a passionate fan who supports the team faithfully and this pillow perpetuates that feeling.
Summary
Obviously, this pillow is really a piece for only the most diehard New York Ranger hockey fan. If I was designing a home, I would not have this as my first decorative selection! However, if you like the Rangers, it would be a very nice addition to your team collection and your vehement support for the team.
