Pros:
Works as advertised, easy to use, easy to maintain.
Cons:
Led me to believe it was broken -- but there's an easy fix.
The Bottom Line:
I recommend it for now, the whole story can't be told until I've owned and used it for about a year of more (assuming it lasts that long).

I bought this upon reading mostly good reviews at Amazon, and because a friend suggested getting a humidifier in response to my complaints of severely cracked, dry skin.
Upon receiving it, my first reaction mirrored the good reviews I had read -- it is very simple to operate and maintain. No filters to clean, and no small thing, no filters to continually have to replace. All you have to do is fill the reservoir with water (I used filtered water as I'm guessing the super-hard water my public utility provides might not be the best thing for it), turn it on, and it works. Simple.

Con: Happy as I was the first day with this humidifier, I was very disappointed when on the SECOND DAY of ownership, I turned it on again and it simply didn't work. I could here the electric motor running, but the vapor action was "trapped" below the surface of the water in the reservoir, preventing it from getting into the air. I consulted the user's manual for what to do in such instances, and there was nothing mentioned about it. So now, convinced my humidifier had already died on me, I e-mailed the customer service of my vendor (see final "Pros" below), told them what had happened and asked for help or perhaps, a refund.
It being a weekend when I submitted my message, I didn't expect a response until the beginning of the next week, so I tried emptying all water from both the base and the reservoir, refilled them both, turned it on again and lo and behold it worked this time.
Final Pro: the customer support with my vendor (AirNWater) was EXCELLENT. They apologized for my problem and gave me directions on how to get a replacement unit -- no ridiculous hoops for me to jump through, just easy directions.
Instead, I replied by telling them I had corrected the problem myself via the actions described above. I pointed out these actions should be included in their user's manual. Now here's the clincher -- despite my telling them the humidifier was again 100% functional, they insisted on refunding $10 for my inconvenience, even after I said "thanks, but no thanks".
Bottom line, the humidifier works great, and the vendor that sold it to me IS great.
