I started this off without any words

Date of Review:  May 25, 2003
The Bottom Line: 'The best grunge album of all time?' You decide.
Review: The week that I received and listened to this nirvana album was a day of a great and terrible day for me. I discovered not only the pure genius of Kurt Cobain and nirvana and also that I would never hear this genius live. Still there was hope, this...

A Musical Enema

Date of Review:  Apr 30, 2001
The Bottom Line: A wonderful album that set the standard for 90's music, definitely a must-have.
Review: Back in 1991-1992, the world was still suffering from hairbands, spandex, and other 80's rock excesses that equalled a downward spiral of rock music. Nirvana burst onto the scene, and kicked the old out, and brought alternative music into the...

I Still Listen to This

Date of Review:  Mar 6, 2000
Review: This is kind of funny, I practically missed the Nirvana revolution in the early 90's. I was too busy starting my career, getting engaged and other stuff along those lines.

Convinced I was missing something, I finally bought the album years...

Don't deny it. It's pop.

Date of Review:  Sep 18, 2004
The Bottom Line: Only for the Nirvana-virgin-pop-fan.
Review: Ah, yes. The grand offender. The atomic bomb. The epidemic. You'd think I were talking about something a little more threatening than a CD, wouldn't you?

I have taken the liberty of looking up the word "pop" and saw it defined as such:...

Smells Like...A Great Record!

Date of Review:  Mar 13, 2003
The Bottom Line: buy it, people.
Review: Nirvana is a wonderful band that set the pace for modern day hard rock/punk rock/indie/whatever. I m sure a lot of people say this, but I would just like to re enforce it: Nirvana was far ahead of their time. At that time in the 90s, there were only...

A True Timeless Classic

Date of Review:  Jun 29, 2002
The Bottom Line: Quite simply, it has been voted by all major publications in the top 10 albums of all time. There is a reason.
Review: If you haven?t heard of this album, where have you been for the last 10 years? The now infamous cover of the CD with a naked baby swimming after the American dollar is an image that will go down in the memory banks forever. No-one expected this...

A Good Album, But Nevermind Most Major Critics...

Date of Review:  Feb 4, 2007
The Bottom Line: A mostly enjoyable listen from start to finish with some standout moments, but not as monumental or amazing as most critics will claim it is.
Review: I suppose by now, most everyone knows the story of Nirvana, Nevermind, and the Seattle Sound. But, for those of you that don't, here's an abridged version.

It was 1991. The 80's were over, and Hair Metal was starting to decline after...

the album that helped make 'em big (for a reason)

Date of Review:  Jan 2, 2006
Review: every track is good, of course one of my favorites is the flagship song 'smells like teen spirit', terrific riff, good lyrics, lazy speech in the vocals. everything to help define true grunge. ends in a spectacular ballad for the peaceful side in...

It's Fun To Lose And To Pretend

Date of Review:  Dec 23, 2004
The Bottom Line: Disgruntled youth finds their sound, though more would be found in utero.
Review: Look at any list of "100 Best This Century" or "50 Most Revolutionary" and you'll find Nevermind. It was the sound for the disgruntled youth of the 90s. You know, I have to admit: it was the sound and one of the best, but really, the king title goes...
