Nevermind by Nirvana (US)

I know everyone has heard all about this album but it really is that good! Although I am slightly biased, being a huge Nirvana fan but every song on the album is awesome and will appeal to any fan of grunge, metal, punk or even just rock. The album opens with the anthemic 'Smells Like Teen Spirit', this is probably Nirvana's most well known song but there's also some equally good, and even better songs like Lithium and Come As You Are. At the time, 'Nevermind' blew everyone away with its passion and originality, even now it is still regarded as groundbreaking. This album is full of amazing riffs and meaningful, thought provoking lyrics, you should also ensure you check out their first album 'Bleach' and the final studio album 'In Utero'. Similar bands include Soundgarden and Silverchair. 'Nevermind' would be a great start to your Nirvana collection.
