Do your homework....please.

I bought this router for a great price. I decided to buy it regardless of the "mixed bag" reviews that I saw online because I felt I was more technically inclined than the average user.
I installed all the latest firmware updates and used the basic settings (no 108mb enhancements, etc). The router worked great for 2 weeks and then started behaving strangely. First it would just kick me off the network. Later, it wouldn't let me connect at all. I tried multiple wireless cards and put in a good 15-20 hours of time trying different settings and reboots. I finally gave up.
I really hate to write a bad review for a Netgear product because they have (in the past) been very good to me. Maybe Netgear's drive for "highest profit per employee" is the reason for their flagging quality.
My advice: save your time and your money and go with another router. I returned mine after putting in a lot of time and effort.
