If you are one of those poor souls (like me) that has to use dial-up internet, and you want to share the modem with multiple computers, the NETGEAR FWG114P is the answer! All you do is plug your external serial analog modem (not provided, I used a Zoom V.92/V.90 Faxmodem) into a DB9 jack on this baby and kiss Windows Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) goodbye. Seriously, it took me all of 5 minuites to get it out of the box and my network up and running. Provides a real firewall, real router, wireless 802.11g access point, and 4 10/100 mbps internet ports. If, and when (god willing), you get broadband, you can plug your broadband modem into a 5th ethernet jack and it will fall-back to your modem if the broadband fails. And, just for yucks, includes a built-in USB print server. I highly recommend this unit. The only thing that makes me mad is that Netgear has been making it for a couple years but I just now found out about it (Jan 2006)
