It works after a while
Pros:
waterproof/floatable, acceptable signal
Cons:
cheap design. long signal acquisition time, stress cracks equals low durability
The Bottom Line:
Cheap price for something that did perform well in the past. Durability, signal quality, and customer support are not the best.

Author's Review
I've owned my unit for about 18 months, at that time I had purchased it used off of ebay. Mine has the characteristic stress cracks that are all too common with this model. My roommate has the Pro model, and even it has the stress cracks. The unit takes a good 3-4 minutes to get enough satellites to find position, but usually only gets 3-5 of them, and the error is usually high. The unit performs well when plugged in, but you can't keep it plugged in when you're hiking in the woods. I chose this unit because it was rated well for signal quality, and when it achieved enough satellites, it did perform well. I did have lots of dropped signal even on clear days. The battery door screw stripped out and needs to be replaced.
On a recent trip with the unit, it flashed "extremely low power" and shut down, after new batteries were installed. After that point, it failed to acquire signal until it was plugged in to the car power. From there, it turned around in the opposite direction we were driving, and before we knew it, it was showing on our map that it was 75 miles north of where we really were, traveling at 325mph. This was pretty odd considering it displayed "WAAS" and an EPE of 13ft on the screen. After driving around for an hour, the cursor on the map never got within 3 miles of our current position. The device used to work great, but I question it's ability to tell me where I really am. I have my money saved up for a garmin GPSMAP 60CSx. And I can't wait for it to get here!
The device has given me at least 250 geocache finds, and users have commented me for having accurate coordinates for the geocaches that I have placed.
