Native Tongue

I myself did not purchase this book. A friend did. My friend got this book at a used book store read it and thought I would enjoy it, which I did. It has a humorous start that does not fully make sense at first but later on it clicks into place. The book Native Tongue is a great mystery about the missing Blue Tongued Mango Voles. The Two Blue Tongued Mango Voles are the last two of their species and were currently residing at the Amazing Kingdom of Thrills on North Key Largo. The main character is a guy named Joe Winder. Joe Winder is a burned out ex muckraking reporter. In the beginning of the book Joe Winder is working for the Amazing Kingdom of Thrills theme park on North Key Largo as their PR man. When the precious Blue Tonged Mango Voles go missing its up to the PR man Joe Winder to smooth things over for the Amazing Kingdom of Thrills theme park but in the process he uncovers some interesting tid bits of information that make him wonder. Being an ex reporter he becomes determined to find out the truth about the Blue Tongued Mango Voles, where they came from, what they really are and why they are missing. While doing so he learns some dangerous information about the owner of the Amazing Kingdom of Thrills theme park, Francis X. Kingsbury. Suddenly Joe Winder is no longer just a PR Man for a theme park but he is a man in a lot of danger with some wicked big shot guys. Can he uncover the truth and save his life at the same time or will he risk it all for nothing...
