National Review is the best magazine to follow the American conservative movement. Started by William F. Buckley, NR is filled with solid reporting, unflinching opinion, intelligent analysis, and stimulating book reviews.

Every bi-weekly issue begins with news bites from the past two weeks. Next is the editorials. Some are quick one-paragraph shots, others are more in-depth. Then Mr. Buckley answers fan mail, his wit and intellect always shine. Next is 20+ pages of reporting and opinion on a broad range of topics. From economics to pop culture, they offer varied voices from across the conservative movement.

In the last quarter of every issue are the book reviews. My favorite section gives me great ideas on what to read next.
