I can't believe some people think this movie is entertaining!

I rented this movie with my husband since we had both heard that Napoleon Dynamite was the new underdog character to root for and that everyone loves this guy. About 15 minutes in, my husband and I were so fed up with the movie that we contemplated turning it off. 30 minutes in, we had convinced ourselves that something HAD to happen EVENTUALLY. While the credits were rolling, we realized that nothing ever did happen and it was one of the biggest wastes of our lives. I went into the kitchen as the credits rolled and heard the bonus footage at the end start. I called my husband back and said, "Maybe this will be funny." It wasn't. After speaking with other friends, one watched it the entire way through and wished he hadn't. His wife fell asleep. Another friend said he and his wife turned it off after about 10 minutes because it was so painful. If I had to sum up the movie in one word, I'd use just that . . . painful.
