This movie is NOT sweet........God

The Bottom Line: I wouldn't recomend seeing this movie at all. I found it to be the most painful-to-watch movie I've ever seen.
I heard many things about this Napolean Dynamite. Most people I asked said it was hilarious. Some said it was terrible. Some people even said that you can either love it, or hate it. Well, I can honestly say that I hated it and don't know what all the hooplah is about. The reason: it was awful
The cast of the movie had minimal or no acting skills. This, combined with a VERY slow and EXTEREMELY boring plot, formed one of the most pointless movies that I have ever seen. True, Napolean Dynamite will nonetheless be remembered as a legendary character, but that will only be because of his dancing skills, and the way he says words such as "sweet", "God", and "idiots".
As for the humor, it was horribly limited. If I remember correctly, I only laughed once throughout the entire movie, and it was really only a guffaw.
The "director" clearly attempted to create a quality movie with an extremely low budget (about $500,000). Some might give him credit for even managing to create the movie that many people seem to have enjoyed. Not me though. Granted, I might have enjoyed it if the script was more lively and comedic.
I will end by giving those who have not seen the movie a little piece of advice: If you hear someone saying how terrific or hilarious they thought Napolean Dynamite was, for God's sake just ignore them. Heed my advice, and save yourself a few bucks by NOT renting this movie
