A Museum a kid would love

by   MadeGuy ,  Jul 13, 2001
Pros: Nostalgia, Memories, Old-fashioned-back-to-the-roots-gaming
Cons: 1 Player
The Bottom Line: Arcade history in the palm of your hand.
Review: I never thought that I could find a museum as entertaining as this one. Its the old games that some of us grew up playing; and now you can play those EXACT same games on the train to work, or on lunch break, ANYWHERE.

The NAMCO museum has Dig...

Oh, the Good Ol' Days of Video Games

by   keiths001 ,  Aug 17, 2001
Pros: Good, old-fashioned fun games.
Cons: Primitive graphics and sound. Repetitive gameplay.
The Bottom Line: If you just want a fun time, then this is the game for you. The fact that it has 5 different games makes it last longer.
Review: This is going to be a short review for me, because the games in Namco’s Museum collection for the Game Boy Advance aren’t all that advanced, and really don’t require a whole lot of description. But I’ll do my best.

Namco Museum for the GBA

by   phungus ,  Dec 20, 2004
Pros: Galaga and Ms. Pac-Man
Cons: I'd rather have Enduro that Pole Position
The Bottom Line: This is a must-have set of games for the retro gamer.
Review: The Namco Museum collection for the GBA is one of those must-have titles that make the GBA worth owning. It contains five different classic arcade games that can be played over and over again. Right now, it can be purchased new for $9.99 in some ...

Mrs. Pac Man and Galaga and Dig Dug oh my!

by   mikegmi2 ,  Jul 17, 2001
Pros: Great replay value, 5 great games on one cartridge!
Cons: Hard to see whats going on when playing Galaga sometimes.
The Bottom Line: Namco Museum is a great collection of old arcade games. The replay value is a 10 and the games are ones that everyone has fun playing.
Review: When I saw this the day after I got my Game Boy Advance I knew I had to buy it. It was a no brainer. I mean all these great games on one little cartridge?! How can you go wrong? Well I didn't think I could go wrong so that is why I purchased Namco...

Your passport to Namco Museum [Added Con and Pro, $ Check]

by   SupergoldZero ,  Aug 20, 2001
Pros: The classic games, Fairly Priced
Cons: Some transitions could be better, I want a museum mode! No Battery Back-Up
The Bottom Line: If only some of the transitions were btter this game would have surly gotten a 5.
Review: If you are looking for a little man in a stage suit digging through the ground randomly while killing monsters and collecting vegetables, then the Namco’s Classic Dig-Dug is the one for you. Or you could be looking to train you trigger finger on various...

The Past is a Blast

by   wta2001 ,  Jun 21, 2001
Pros: Great classic game play
Cons: Not all games are equally great
The Bottom Line: An excellent choice for anyone who remembers and loves classic arcade games, and a good choice for anyone who wants quick games and quick action on the GBA.
Review: If you were happily blasting aliens and burning quarters at the arcade just past the Age of Pong, Namco Museum for GBA is for you. If you don’t have the time or patience to find the key that unlocks the door that frees the princess in an involved quest...

Namco Museum: Please play with the exhibits.

by   rheaton ,  Jun 19, 2001
Pros: perfect ports of the classics. Still just as addictive to play. Doesn't eat quarters.
Cons: Galaxian still stinks. Pole Position didn't age very well.
The Bottom Line: I would have preferred more titles, or maybe a couple of different titles ( lose Galaxian ). Otherwise, it's your own little pocket arcade.
Review: This isn’t going to follow my standard video game review formula. Namco’s Museum just wouldn’t hold up under the pressure of rating it against today's standards. The graphics are colorful but simple, the music is a bit on the tinny side and the game play...

Videogame oldies but goodies READ ON:

by   mediahound ,  Jun 13, 2001
Pros: Brings you right back to the glory days of action arcade games.
Cons: I don't like the selection of games on this cartridge.
The Bottom Line: If you like any or all of the games included on this cartridge, I would recommend this!
Review: While at the Toy store picking up my new Nintendo Gameboy Advance (in Arctic color) I decided to browse the game shelf to see what they had for the Advance.

When I saw this game, I knew I just had to get it. I'm a sucker for the old...

Namco Museum (3 out of 5 stars)

by   brclarke ,  Jul 4, 2001
Pros: Dig Dug rocks...
Cons: ...but the other conversions are at best mediocre.
The Bottom Line: Buy it for Dig Dug if you are a Dig Dug fan.
Review: This cart contains recreations of five 1980s Namco arcade games: Pole Position, Ms Pacman, Galaga, Galaxian, and Dig Dug.

Once past the title screens, you're presented with a simple menu that lets you pick the game you're interested in...

Three out of Five ain't bad

by   circuspeanut ,  Aug 17, 2001
Pros: Arcade in a pocket, great if you once liked these games
Cons: Only 3 of 5 games are worth it; High scores aren't saved!
The Bottom Line: If you liked Ms Pac Man, Galaga, or Dig Dig, get it. If not, pass.
Review: Overall:

The menu system is well done; it's very quick to switch to a different game or restart the game you're currently playing. A small point, but an important one, since half the fun here is switching between the different games on...
