Author's Review
On my birthday I bought myself a hockey game. Little did I know that NHL 2001 would be one of the best games I ever played or also that it would be one of the best games ever. I decided to compare NHL 2001 with NHL'99, NHL'97 and NHL POWERPLAY'96. With my research, I decided that NHL'01 was absolutely the best of the four. NHL'99 had bad graphics and poor control configures, NHL'97 didn't have the world teams much less made up teams, and Powerplay was decent, but no recent world teams like Kazakhstan, Slovakia, or Belarus. None of them except NHL 2001 didn't have music or fighting without going to the pentalty box for five minutes. So which one sounds better to you? I know. On NHL 2001 all of the newest teams are on the game (including the new expanision teams Minnesota Wild an Columbus Blue Jackets). Also if you play against the New York Rangers at New York, the loading screen shows the Twin Towers before those Bin Laden idiots crashed innto them. This game also lets you hear all of the national anthems when your playing at their stadium. You can also make lineups for the EA BLADES and the EA STORM. I like putting people like Lindros, Nolan, Jagr, and Mondano on my list. Well, I hope I helped you find out what game you want to buy. If this helps any I found it for only $20.00! This game is probably the best hockey game later. I can't wait to see what they come up with in 2002. Well, I guess you might want to go buy it now. Well BYE!
