This game is simply amazing, bottom line. I've never played a football game that is more extraordinary then NFL 2K2, its really that simple.

NFL 2K2 is my first football game on a video game system. Don't get me wrong, I've played dozens of them, with friends, at Blockbuster. Whatever it may be, lets just say, I have experience with football games. I never actually, however, thought any of them were worth purchasing. That is, until I played NFL 2K2 at Blockbuster.
This game blew me away. It is that simple. The graphics were amazing, the sound was awesome, and the players were so realistic. Not only was the commentary good, but it was amazing. They were just like real people!
Now, lets get to the game. There are quite a bit of modes to choose from:
Exibition
Season
Tourney
Practice
and a few more, that I do not remember off the top of my head. My favorite mode is Exibition, which is simply playing against a team of your choice, on a team of your choice. No season, just one game, real football.
The game starts with some commentary by the commentators. They describe the weather, and talk a bit about the people to look out for today. You can always skip them by pressing A or Start. Then, you select Heads or Tails for deciding who kicks and recieves. If you select the right one, you can select, and the game starts. If you select Kick, you are kicking off. If you select recieve, you are receving the ball, so you are on Offense.
The game is just like any other football game. There is nothing special about it, except for the exceptional graphics and sound. It's just basic football. And honestly, those are the best kinds of football games. Not too many people like all the fancy features in newer football games. NFL 2K2 just doesn't put up with that. They simply make a game, but ONLY football, the standard classic American Football.
Overall, this game is amazing. I strongly reccomend it for anyone who loves football and football video games. This, in my opinion is simply the best of the bunch. Theres simply nothing better.
