Great card when used as follows

by   glenn_welt ,  May 25, 2006
Pros: Doubled the speed of earlier Netgear g/b cards
Cons: Protrudes from side of notebook (as do most add-on wireless cards).
Review: The "need for speed" has me constantly testing & comparing PCMCIA wireless cards at home, local hotspots and hotels. At home I decided long ago that the Netgear WGT624 is the best wireless router and mated it with a Netgear 511T which produced ...

by   critofur ,  May 4, 2006
Pros: Good range and speed, consistent connection.
Cons: Price, sticks out a little further than I'd like.
Review: My router (an SMC 802.11G router) is on the third floor and I'm using this card in my notebook on the first floor and I get 7-8 out of 8 "dots" on the signal strength meter and consistently connect at 54 Mbps. The utility that comes with the card is ...
