Do not buy this game. I think I should repeat this, do NOT buy this game. If this is how nascar really is then I have a feeling that the greyhound dogs would be getting more national coverage than these guys. After playing this game I get the feeling that this was one of Nintendo's first games that they just set into color and programmed the rumble pack to go with it. Its pretty bad. In fact I know that the 8 bit Nintendo had better racing games than this one. I've played them. So please don't make your son cry by buying this for him as a gift. It is not worth fifteen dollars, let alone the thirty that I paid for it. In fact I would sell it for fifteen dollars to anyone who wanted it!
Ok about the actual game. When I first played I was slightly confused. First you have to qualify. So I guess this is how they figured to do levels. In any case after you qualify you can run that course...again. Fun stuff huh. But this time you go against people. There are three courses that you can drive. That is all.
The graphics are bad, and considering that its made for color gameboy there really should have been better. The sound is bad. Like I said, just imagine your 8bit nintendo racing game and stick it in a smaller screen gameboy and that's what you get.
The main reason why I got this game was for the rumble pack. I was curious to know how it worked. This was the best game to figure it out because of its transparent cover. It is a motor that runs when it needs to rumble. Complex stuff huh. Well that's all that I could figure out without opening up the game. I really haven't researched on it, so please don't think that what I wrote is god's word or anything.
I have a feeling that this game was rushed to come out. It was one of the few that had the rumble pack and that's the main reason why I wanted to try it out. Once again DON'T BUY IT! There are much better gameboy games out there.
That's all I can think of for now. Thanks for reading!
