Point of the game:

You arrive in town and everyone is very unhappy. There are no visitors who ever come to the town, the store owners have nothing to do, it is quiet, it is boring for them. They ran into some bad luck and now you need to help them get back on track and get more people to come. Your also going to work on making everyone happy, and making the town more attractive so people will want to be there, and people will want to visit.

You make your character:

First thing you will be asked to do is make your character. You can decide between male and female, pick the style and color of your hair, the clothes you want to wear, color of your skin, and color of your eyes. You will also name your character and name the town.

You Arrive in the Town:

When you arrive in town it is on a boat and you will be dropped off on the deck. You will then go through the introduction to the game. You will interact with a little boy dressed up in a bear costume. The clothing and the game in general is very cute.

The First Mission:

The first mission you will be asked to do is visit all the people in the town. This is also part of the introduction. When you meet people they will either be in a bad mood, sad, or depressed. You will be asked to talk to them and pick the right things to say & do to make them happy. This is like a game because you have to make them happy before the time runs out. Say the wrong thing or do the wrong thing and their happy meter will go down. You can either converse with them, encourage them, comfort them, laugh, listen, get angry with them, or cry. Depending on the person your talking with they will all have a different reaction to what you choose to do. Sometimes if you make a person more unhappy they will choose not to talk to you again for a whole day.

Doing Favors for People:

Throughout the game people will ask you to do favors for them. Doing favors will either help people or make the town more attractive. Both will bring more people into your town.

The First Favor:

The first favor you will be asked to do is plant flowers. This is to brighten up the town and bring in more guests. You will go to the flower shop and the girl who works there will give you the flowers. You will then go to all the flower beds in town and fill them up. When you are done you will talk to Ashley, the girl who works at the flower shop. Also when you wake up the next morning there will be more people.

Purchasing Furniture:

Guess what?? You get your very own home! Starting off you will only have a bed, closet, and chest of drawers. You can move the furniture around in your house any way you like. You will be able to buy more things for your house like furniture, clothes for your wardrobe, flowers, and other items in the stores. This also makes the town happy because you are giving them business!

A New Wardrobe:

You will be able to change your outfits by visiting the tailor whose name is Tyler. He is very depressed because he gets no business, that is... until you came along! Check out all the clothes and be sure to wear something different everyday!

The Mini-Games Include:

Make a Lei
You will be asked to select the correct colors to make a lei (Hawaiian garland). Make three lei's as fast as you can to win.

Racquetball
Try to keep the ball going for as long as you can, avoid the obstacles that will get in your way.

Fishing
When you are next to any body of water you can cast out your rod and try to catch fish. Any fish you catch can be taken to the local fisherman who will be happy to get the business!

Paragliding
Try to stay in the air as long as possible and go the longest distance. Be sure to try and get as many jewels as possible, and avoid the birds.

Casino
You will be able to play a blackjack type game, dodge the thief which is a card matching game, and tic-tac-trump where you try to get three matching cards in a row.

Scuba Diving
In this game you will be down in the water! The point is to try to take as many good photos as possible. When the photo is really good then you get more points. You can take 9 photos and then pick what you think is your best 3 to go towards your score.

Skydiving
Jump out of an airplane and try to catch as many jewels as you can!

My Opinion of this Game:

I think this is a really fun game! I enjoy it because I am not into action games. A game like this is perfect for someone like me. The furniture is really cool, detailed, and cute. The clothes are even better and fashion really counts in this game. I love fashion and matching clothes! The games are fun and trying to make the town people happy is pretty fun too. I like it that you can meet new people and there is always someone to talk to. The only downfall of this game is sometimes you are left with nothing to do. Once you have talked to everyone for the day, played all the games, you are either just decorating your house or trying to find something else to entertain yourself. I guess it can be like that with any game though!

The Price:

I paid $29.99 for this game at Best Buy! I think that is a great price and it is worth it.
