The best heater--for a few days.

Last winter I bought and returned 4 units, all of which broke within a few days. The unit seems to overheat and then not turn back on. I purchased my units at sears for around $50. This year they do not seem to be carrying them. I wonder why :).

Don't these guys do any testing at all? I called Honeywell last winter several times to ask them what the story was. They admitted to nothing. They would of course replace my broken unit with another defective one, but what I wanted, of course, was a heater that would not break within a few days. It's really a shame, because it truly is an excellent heater while it works, much better than the homes quartz radiant heater I have now. At the same wattage ratings the Honeywell gives off at least 30% more heat. But the Holmes works. It doesn't break even when you drop it.
