Recalls needed

I purchased this unit from Service Merchandise, just before they went out of business. It would not heat when I got it home. Because they were going out of business, Service Merchandise would not refund nor exchange. Therefore, I turned to the company for warranty coverage as it is guaranteed for 5 years.

The company was very prompt in sending me a new heater as soon as they received the defective one. The new heater worked for about 30 minutes and quit. I tried the reset button, etc., but could not get it to work. I again contacted the company, and they paid the shipping the second time it was returned.

However, I have not received a replacement heater. It has been some months, and I have talked to customer service reps repeatedly. Each time I get a promise, or a confirmation number, or an excuse (out of stock). Today, I again called them. I was promised a heater within 15 working days.

We'll see.
