Best phone featured by Tracfones Pay as You Go

The Bottom Line: Good phone for people who want a stylish, yet cheap option with Tracfone.
Ive been using Tracfone Pay As You Go service for backup phones. The problem with Tracfone is the unattractive, mediocre phones they offer for that service. So I was very glad when they started offering the W370 Motorola.
The Motorola was the first one they offered that had a Razr type of look, thin and sleek. They only offer it in silver though not my favorite color. In fact Net10 Tracfones other service started offering a black W375 which looks better. I wish they would offer that but for some reason they dont.
Anyway, the W370 has no camera. Its also limited to 100 entries. Its a basic stripped down phone which is all I need. The exterior though sleek and thin, the silver finish is slightly utilitarian looking. Whats even worse are the buttons. The Razr has a fancy brushed metal look to the surface of the buttons but the W370 has a slightly cheap looking dark, flat gray plastic finish. The W375 also doesnt have the fancy brushed metal finish but they do have a slightly more tasteful, silver plastic finish.
Not a big deal but overall the phone looks a little basic.
Im referring to the version offered for Tracfone so keep that in mind. Under the main menu, the Office Tools option includes - calculator, stopwatch, calendar, lantern, chat , web browser, dialing services, My Menu, etc.
The lantern feature is kind of goofy. All it does is show a white screen which you use as a light source. I used to have a phone that had a super bright LED you can use as a flashlight at the top of the case.
Besides that the main menu consists of Prepaid, Phone Book, Recent Calls, Messages, Games and Apps, Multimedia, Web Access and Setting for Sounds and Pictures.
It comes with 1.5 megs of internal memory and the specs say 7.5 hours of talk time and 10 days of standby. One guy says he has about 500K left of usable memory. That seems pretty close to my experience. I think the main complaint I have is it seems to be slightly erratic in terms of reacting to the ON button. Sometimes I have to hit it several times before it comes on.
Its about $40-50 from Tracfone and various retail outlets like Wal-Mart and Kmart. However Amazon has had it on sale, recently as low as $30 with a $15 rebate.
As I mentioned the W370 by Tracfone is limited in various ways. One website says despite the fact it has a mini-USB port its locked so you must get Ringtones and pictures from Tracfones servers. There are websites that tell you how to send pictures via email to your phone and midi files to use as ringtones.
