Pros: Range outdoors was great. Sleek design. Easy to use.
Cons: The belt clip breaks very easily, Handle it with extreme care. AAA batteries.
Review: I used them out in the woods, and I got clear reception within 5 miles apart (8 kms.) and there was no line of sight. I don't understand how other reviewers say they have problems within a couple of miles or just blocks away. I wonder if they have ever ...

Pros: Reception, easy to use.
Cons: Plastic Frame should be made of rubber. Would be nice to have a flat base.
Review: Have been using the Motorola SX700R two way radios for a week. So far they have been working great with very little noise. I use these in when I go hiking and also in multi floor buildings during maintenance projects. The reception is great b/w floors ...

Pros: Lightweight, durable construction. Good sound quality.
Cons: 2 watt and GMRS not worth the extra cost for extra three-block range increase.
The Bottom Line: You're better off with a lower end model from Motorola. 2 watt increase and GMRS not worth the extra cost for extra gain of three blocks in the city.
Review: After some comparison research for an affordable, reliable two-way radio for hiking, camping and staying in touch between two cars en route to the trailhead, Ive taken the plunge and bought the Motorola Talkabout SX700R. As stated on the package ...

Pros: refer to above statement.
Cons: These radios performed poorly. I can only get about one mile out of them.
Review: I like the body, nice look, nice feel, light and not too big. But that is offset by the ...
