This is the first Bluetooth headset I've ever used. I'm happy with the decision! I hated untangling wires - I didn't realize how much I hated wires until I got this headset! It's really nice to be wireless! Not just from the standpoint of the wire mess, but from the standpoint of being free from the phone itself (about 25 ft). I walk around when I talk, so it's nice to be able to wander about.
Functionality:
The boom closes, which turns off the power and makes it very compact, and makes it less likely to break off. Design is great! Plus it is super comfortable. It doesn't go 'in' your ear - those kind can get uncomfortable real quick. It's superlight. So light, I wonder if it's gonna fall off - but it never has. The earpiece will switch to either ear. Battery life is wonderful. I don't use it for hours on end, only occasionally - seems I hardly ever have to charge it. When I do, it charges fast (2 hours max). As long as Moto uses the same power adapter on all devices, I guess it could be worse. I do mark down for proprietary plugs, but Moto seems to keep their plug the same. (everything should use USB, IMO!). T-Mobile officially hasn't tested it when I was shopping them - but I use it with my 7100t and it works fine.
Warning: Not all BT sets work with all phones - so keep your receipt, JIC.
Durability? Here's the best part. This thing is fantastic and this is why I'm now a fan. I washed it, accidentally. I don't mean that I got it wet...I mean that it went all the way through the cycle! Wash, Rinse, Spin! I did discover it before it went in the dryer. I set it out for about 2 days and didn't touch it. Then I plugged it back in, waited 2 hours, and it works! I think it may damaged the microphone a little bit, but all in all it's in good shape.
Sound: I had no complaints about hollowness, echo, or robot-sound. Only complaints were that sometimes it was a little bit too quiet. Seems to be common in most BT headsets, though. They all said they couldn't really tell I was on a BT unless I told them. As far as hearing it, I wish it would be a just a little bit louder - but it's not bad. Sometimes a little difficult to hear in loud areas or if the person is talking kinda quiet. I think it's worth it to spend a few extra dollars to get quality sound.
