CLS 1110 Review

The Bottom Line: Decent basic commercial radios.
At my workplace we used these radios until everyone got tired of using them. This has nothing to do with the performance of the radios.
This is a simple, straightforward radio. You turn it on and you are ready to go. No menus to fumble with. Just simple operation.
These radios are single-channel radios. You can, however program them to any of several business band frequencies via menus and certain key combinations. These special key combinations prevent unauthorized reprogramming or accidental frequency changes.
These radios also have PL tones to reduce interference.
These radios use a Lithium-Ion battery, which will easily last an entire 8 hour work shift and then some. I've never had a battery go out yet.
These radios easily worked inside and outside of the large grocery store where I work. I never experienced any loss in signal, nor had anyone I needed to contact. You can get a multi-radio charging bay that will sharge several radios.
These are not full featured radios by any means. They have no extra functions at all. They are just basic single-channel commercial radios. This is really all that is needed for your typical small business or retail store, where private communication can be made over the internal phone system.
These radios also accomodate a headset, so customers are not disturbed. This also is useful in security related sisuations where operations should not be overheard by unauthorized persons.
All in all a decent product at a low cost.
