Author's Review
Mortal Kombat Trilogy combines the first three Mortal Kombat hits: 1, 2, and 3. My brother and I used to play this all the time, until I quit. He still plays some of his friends.
Levels of Difficulty:
There are five levels of difficulty: very easy, easy, medium, hard, and very hard. Believe me, there is a difficulty for you.
Control: Learning the buttons is easy, but mastering the game is tough. The basic buttons are as follows: LP, HP, LK, HK, BLK, and RN (L=low, H=high, P=punch, K=kick, BLK=block, and RN=run). Making combinations is easy, and the combinations vary from person to person.
Storyline:
WHO CARES? Outfight your opponents! (Watch out for the endurance mode, where you have to fight people back-to back.)
Character selection:
You have a whopping 28 gladiators to choose from, plus 4 bosses! If 32 aren't good enough, you're a hard person to please!
Game modes:
Sound:
*Music selection - Every last selection of music are appropriate to the game. Many of them were for specific levels.
*Music quality - The quality of music is spectacular! If you play it as a CD, you won't be disappointed.
*Sound effects - The sound effects are amazing!
Graphics:
The graphics are pretty good. If you're looking for glitches, try another game.
Artificial Intelligence:
They fight with lots of intelligence. Most of the time, they won't fall for the same tricks over and over. They strategize, and try to make you fight their style.
Replay value: (how long has/will the game last?)
The game lasted for a few years now, and it's still being played!
Fun factor:
You will have lots of fun while playing. Turning the game off can be tough. With the available arsenal of fatalities, animalities, and brutalities, you can kill your opponent in many different ways.
Recommendation:
I recommend Mortal Kombat Trilogy to those who have a thirst for violence and blood.
