Author's Review
Modern bride is the best for the bridal mags if you ask me. And believe me, I have a stack that I am going to have to get another spare room to keep! A lot of the bride magazines seem to overload on the photos and cut you short on the articles.
Modern Bride does not do this, they have a nice balance of both. As usual, they have the pictures, the cards to send for free catalogs, and the wedding planner page.
But in addition to this, they often show real weddings, and show lots of tips.
I use the magazines to cut out pictures of bouquets, so that I can take to the florist. A lot of the magazines do not include the flowers, just the dress, but this one does in most pictures/
I have the newest issue of Modern Bride here, the OCT/NOV 2000 issue, and five major catagories: Real Weddings (contains 5 different real weddings in a range of budgets) Q&A (Helpline, you and him, wedding planning, sex and health, and money) Wedding Planning (11 articles) features (5 topics on just about anything that has to do with weddings) and the last cat is Modern Style (cool feature is that it has all the latest styles pictured and the price range for them)
There are plenty of ads as usual, but the articles above are much more than most Bride's mags. And it does try to cater to all budgets, it gives lots of tips on how to plan a wedding when you are not Donald Trump in the section Balanced Budgets. Hope that helps and congratulations!
