Author's Review
I bought this wrap for my now 1 1/2 year old daughter. In the past, for her older sibs I had tried more conventional carriers that were cheap and readily available in discount stores. This type I did some research and chose the Moby. I am glad I did! First off, how many carriers will fit both a rather petite mom AND a 6' plus daddy? This one does. And it's been great for that reason. It even fits her big brothers, one who is just nine years old. He loved carrying her around the house and being such a big helper, and she loved being close to him. It does require a bit of time to master, and it can be hot, but that seems a fair trade-off to me.
I love how I can carry her in so many different positions, too. In the beginning, I carried her as a newborn close to my chest. She could be all curled up in her favorite position, and it was winter, so she was nice and cozy, too. Later, she loved the joey hold where she gets to face out and have her legs able to kick. Now that she's a bigger girl, she and I both appreciate the hip hold so that she can be close while I run errands or do little walks in the neighborhood. We've only done the back carry once, but now that's she's bigger, we'll undoubtedly be doing that one much more.
I'm looking forward to using it in Disney World, as she can't be in the stroller in a number of lines or areas, and this will save us some very tired arms.
Also, compared to other carriers, I have experienced far less back pain using the Moby. Switching positions for longer time periods definitely helps too.
