A very natural way to carry your baby

I own multiple baby carriers and this is by far my favorite. I'll admit that in the beginning it takes a little practice to get used to getting it on. But once you get used to it, it doesn't take any longer to put on then the popular Baby Bjorn. It's very comfortable. I bought this carrier because I had a preemie and she was too small for any other carrier. The Moby Wrap was perfect in the Newborn Hug Hold position when she first came home from the hospital. We had to fly and because she was immune compromised I was advised by the hospital staff to travel with her hidden in my shirt to protect her from people touching her or breathing on her. Hiding her in the wrap was a much better option than trying to keep her under my shirt. She felt close and protected and comforted being close to me and I didn't have to worry about anyone breathing on her or touching her. She loved to sleep in the wrap. I loved that I had my hands free and could walk about the house or go for walks for a little fresh air. My daughter is 7 months old now and I frequently have her in the wrap when I go grocery shopping. She likes the Lotus Hold position and I like that I am able to easily transition from having her facing outward or facing me when she is tired. If I am wearing her for a long time she will still fall asleep in the wrap and I like that I can tuck her head under one of the shoulder panels to help keep it supported in her sleep. It is one of the most versatile baby carriers available and also one of the more inexpensive. All instructions on how to use the wrap can also be found on line in case you lose the little booklet.

The drawbacks are that since it is such a long piece of fabric, the ends do drag on the floor when you are putting it on. Those parts of the fabric don't come in contact with the baby, but it still can get the fabric dirty. If I know I am going to be wearing the wrap when I am out I usually put it on at home and just wear it in the car to our destination. Also, the knit fabric can make baby and baby wearer hot when wearing baby in warm weather or for extended periods of time
