sharp turns and good gas

Being the owner of two very active dogs and an even more active 9 year old I was frustrated lugging them around in my year old Eclipse. Discovering I had another child on the way I decided enough was enough…. I needed a bigger vehicle. I researched SUV's and read a review on the Montero Sport. It had been tested off road and the man writing the review said it was difficult to flip (one of my main concerns for SUV's). I test drove and really liked it- unlike what consumer guide magazine says about the SUV (it was last tested in 1998 by consumer guide - I found it to feel a lot like a car - my Montero Sport is quiet and very smooth on the freeway. I am a great driver but not so good with directions so I often find myself turning sharply when I realize I have almost passed the street I need…I tend to take those turns very sharp-my Montero Sport has not let me down, although I have certiantly scared myself a few times- it always stays on all four wheels! It also gets great gas mileage- good when you pay OUTRAGEOUS gas prices in California! I should add that I was disappointed to hear the head on collision rating it got when tested by insurance co. but after I researched a bit and discovered that type of accident accounts for only 1% of accidents and head and chest protection rated " good" in that dilemma I felt much better about my SUV! I love my Montero and have NO REGRETS!
