A Gentle Giant!

Mighty Joe Young is capable of capturing the hearts of viewers both young and old. It's a tale of friendship and caring between woman and beast. Jill, orphaned as a child, is Joe's friend and caretaker. Poachers threaten the safety of her massive comrade and she goes to painstaking lengths to protect him. To prove her devotion to Joe, she moves him across the world to Los Angeles.
I find that this movie has a bit of everything we look for in a family movie. The true meaning of friendship comes shining through as you watch Mighty Joe Young. The extrodinary relationship between woman and beast, is a lesson to us all. Each living creature, human or otherwise, needs love, friendship, and protection from harm.
As our family watched Mighty Joe Young, we reminded one another of the value we place on friendship. Friends are something we are previledged to have. If handled with care, the friendships that we create will continue to the end of time.
