I purchased the older version of this dishwasher 2 years ago as part of a total kitchen remodel. I got high-end appliances all around. 2 years later, the only appliance I am 100% satisfied with is the Miele dishwasher.
I got this on the recommendation of a friend, who totally loves his Miele. I had a hard time convincing myself to spend $1650, when for about $1000 a Bosch would do basically the same thing. Fortunately, I decided "what the hell".
The unit is *extremely* quiet. Most higher end brands are pretty quiet, but this is incredible. It does a very nice job cleaning the dishes, and leaves no spots. It has a program for every occasion. Where it really stands out is the rack layout. It has such a large capacity that I normally run it every 3rd day, so it is a *huge* energy saver compared to my old Maytag. It has a 3rd rack for silverware. This takes a bit of getting used to, but the silverware capacity is enormous, and it holds each piece
in a way that sterling does not spot.
I am very picky. Frankly, the only time you would normally hear from me is to complain about something, but in this case, the Miele is such a joy to own that I felt I
owe them this review.
