Beware of the Miele
Pros:
Looks; prestege; what the neighbours will think
Cons:
Dreded third cutlery drawer; wet plastic and cups
The Bottom Line:
Look elsewhere, or buy a Miele dishwasher with a heated dry feature (you'd better mortgage the beach house)

Author's Review
We purchased our G2180SCSF a couple of months ago and I'm sorry to say I'm a little disappointed with its ability to clean, or more importantly, dry our dishes.
I was sucked into the Miele brand (pronounced Meee-le, not Mee-lay, as I though) and was wooed by the prospect of a third cutlery tray - how novel I thought, but people - beware.
I paid a premium for a gadget that I thought would surpass all others, but frankly I've found it rather mediocre and have post purchase dissidence: It guzzles rinse aid like no other and without it, it leaves the dishes as wet as if I opened the door mid-wash. With rinse aid, all plastic and any cubby left unchecked will accomodate water like it's the last drop on earth,... as a gift to you.
The cutlery drawer is an extra hastle and in hindsight I wish I had stayed with a "common" cutlery container, like the rest of america. No more throwing a fistful of dirty knives and forks into the 'dishy', oh no... you'll have to individually place each and every piece of tableware by hand.... eek. And you know what - they don't come up any cleaner.
So people, think twice before you double your spend on a dishwasher, when there are far better models our there for half the price.
