Author's Review
I've been a game-aholic ever since i can remember. From the bowling game at a department store (the type where you roll a ball the size of a softball down the lane and the pins flip up) to the home game systems (fond memories I have of my Dad and I playing the original Pong). Card games, handheld games, board games and even the games that flopped (remember that red virtual thing from Nintendo that caused migraines? The first time I saw it was in an ad and it was photographed upside down-should have been a clue of things to come). I love 'em all!
Before buying my first computer, I relied on the game systems to see me through. Pong, Colecovision, NES, Super NES, 3DO, Game Gear, Nintendo 64 and finally a new computer. This will be a bold statement-but for me, the best game I've played on any system, is Midtown Madness! I can't get enough of this game. Just when I thought there was no more to conquer, I tried some of the codes provided by various boards and I've discovered the fun all over again. There are 2 really cool ways to change or enhance your environment. Either put enhancements in a box after pressing ctrl-alt-shift-f7, or use provided names when signing in. My favorite, while driving, is to cause the other vehicles to slide after an accident. This reminds me of driving in town after freezing rain. The buses are the best, If you hit it right (usually the front or back) that thing will spin forever, knocking over everything in its path.
I'm a 40 year old kid who loves to crash into things. It's a great game for getting out aggression. I highly recommend this game to everyone! can't wait to get the second edition!
