Midtown Madness is one of those games where you have to see it to believe it. It is the best racing game that I have played recently.
You can drive up to 8 different vehicles, including anything from a Volkswagen New Beetle, to a City Bus! Several other vehicles can be driven, by using cheat codes that can be found on the internet.
Blitz races, checkpoint races and time trials, these are all great aspects of the game. In order to drive all the cars, you have to complete some races to unlock the vehicles. Be careful though, too much damage will do you in!
If you don't want to race, you can drive in "Cruise" mode, where there are no time limits. You get the entire city of Chicago to roam! Find the mall where you can drive and bust through the glass, use a bridge as a ramp to land on the top of a building, or go online to Microsoft's website and play "Cops and Robbers" in real-time against other users! It is very exciting playing Midtown Madness online, and I'm sure you would enjoy it as well.
The game has great graphics, (bust glass, throw trash etc!) and good sounds as well. These add together with the option of driving at night, in the morning, in rain or shine, or even snow, to make a great gaming experience.
A great game, it was worth the price.
