Variable in Reliability?

After reading the prior reviews, perhaps I've just been lucky. I bought one of these specifically because I liked the way the little USB connector fit into the mouse. I figured it wouldn't snag things in transport as easily. Mouse cords just get on my nerves.

Though I haven't used this mouse really heavily, I have used it routinely when I travel--say, 2-3 times weekly. I have had no problems whatsoever with it. I've had it nearly a year and it hasn't required battery replacement yet. My biggest concern is that it's so compact, that I'll leave it accidentally on a hotel room desk. Good thing it's not particularly expensive.

Though not as ergonomic as a larger mouse, I've had no problems with it.
