Awesome value from Microsoft

Date of Review:  Feb 27, 2001
The Bottom Line: Awesome joystick, with exceptional control and precision, will add another dimension of excitement to all of your favorite games.
Review: I bought this joystick a year ago, after my good old sidewinder pro gave up it's service to me. When I first pulled this joystick out of the box, it felt like it was custom built for my hand. Microsoft did an excellent job in shaping it so that you...

Cool!

Date of Review:  Jun 26, 2001
The Bottom Line: Great for Action, Flight sim, and racing games. No good for sports, a keyboard would be better.
Review: This is one of the best controllers in the world! The grip is fit right to the average hand size. The buttons are easy to push and the joystick is smooth. This is also fairly cheap at 60 bucks!

This controller is great for racing games,...

Simply sweet...

Date of Review:  May 28, 2000
Review: To get the best use of this, you'll need to connect it to your USB port, and if you don't have a USB port, get one... Hot-swappable capability simply rules.

Optical tracking = no calibration = quick game starts. I always hated having to...

How much closer to perfect do you want

Date of Review:  Jan 15, 2000
Review: All I play that requires a joystick are jet fighter simulators. Jets have fly-by-wire systems, so I have no need for a force feedback stick. For this purpose, I have yet to use/find a better stick.

Okay, yeah, a separate throttle and rudder...

Precision Pro? Well, within a hundred pixels or so.

Date of Review:  Jul 23, 2002
The Bottom Line: A great stick, and excellent value for the price--when it works.
Review: I purchased the Microsoft Sidewinder Precision Pro because of its $59.99 price tag at CompUSA, and my need for a new joystick. My old Gravis Blackhawk was still reliable, but I needed something more complex for the new wonder that is Jane's F/A-18...

The Precision Pro 2 Junk Unlike it's Predecessor the Precision Pro.

Date of Review:  Jan 25, 2002
The Bottom Line: Unlike the original Precision Pro, PP2 is of flimsy construction, a piece of junk. I';ve been burned twice, but not again.
Review: I guess Microsoft wants me to send in a joystick payment every three months. That?s how long the Precision Pro 2 lasted with normal use. My previous Precision Pro lasted four years before it finally just wore out with normal use.

The old...

Good Microsoft Product? It is so!

Date of Review:  Jun 23, 2001
The Bottom Line: This is great for a gaming pro, but otherwise, consider factors like operating system, how much you'll use it, etc. before buying
Review: Intro
Before you read this, know that I am not the biggest fan of Microsoft. I try not to get too involved in insulting companies, but I do insult their products (check out my XBox review if you don't believe me). However, I am quite impressed...

A great reliable, durable stick...

Date of Review:  Jan 24, 2000
Review: I bought my USB Microsoft Sidewinder Pro Joystick a little over a year ago. This stick is probably the best one that I have owned so far. The other one being the old Thrustmaster control system. The Microsoft sidewinder pro is an excellent joystick...

Pretty Much All There

Date of Review:  Jan 6, 2000
Review: I got a Sidewinder Precision Pro because most of the guys recommended it. What guys? The hardcore flight combat simmers I communicate with online.

For me, the price was about right: $50 (after rebate) bundled with Combat Flight Simulator at...

I love my Microsoft Sticks

Date of Review:  Jan 11, 2000
Review: So far, I can say at least this much about Microsoft Products I've owned....

Their joysticks are worth their weight in gold...

I started 5 years ago with a Sidewinder 3d Pro, and put in on the shelf about 2 years ago when I decided...
