Flawed in several ways - I will return this product
Pros:
- Correct spelling of "Microsoft" get's shown
Cons:
- Bad installation procedure
- Inflexible setup
The Bottom Line:
I do NOT recommend this, because installation didn't work out at all, and the actual performance was lousy.

Author's Review
My experience was not good. It is clear that the CD software has to be installed first before one inserts the USB - good. But upon installing the software, it took several long minutes for the progress bar to reach 100%. This is just a webcam right? Then, when the webcam gets inserted - it detected fine, but the popup screen that should show the webcam screen stayed gray... frozen. Couldn't even disable it through the process monitor.
Then, as the whole system crashes and everything is frozen, a popup error stating "The Webcam LifeEX was not found" .... whilst then, in the background, the webcam screen is being displayed, and in motion... although the pc still did not move. A hard reboot was necessary.
Giving it a second try, I reboot and try to place a Skype video call. This was so choppy, it became completely impossible to continue the conversation.
Note: the cable is short - because it is ONLY for a notebook. But the U-shaped clip to fasten the webcam on the screen is just hard plastic with some rubber seating. The pressure this exerts on a fragile notebook screen is not what I want to do. There is no way to adjust this.
Third try: I start the provided webcam program ... which started the same grey screen as during the installation... and after about 4 or 6 minutes the webcam screen was visible. And then a popup advises for an upgrade of 56MB(!) was needed.
Fourth try: installation on another topnotch new Xp Pro PC ---- the same difficulty with the installation. Crashed grey screen... frozen... needed to reboot [and yes again download the 56MB update]
Fifth try: a constant repeating of the same procedure of having to insert the USB into the port for the webcam to be detected. [did this 3 times - each time succesfully, with the appropriate confirmation] --- Yet, the software crashes and cannot be turned off.
One this does work: The "MICROSOFT" letters light up...
This is going back to the store.
