Husband Got It Right

A couple of days ago my mouse started giving me problems. The left clicker button just didn't want to work. I tried taking it apart and cleaning it with a cotton swab and alcohol (my mother told me to do that), but it still didn't want to work. My old mouse really isn't all that old, it's called a Smart Mouse and it came with my computer. I've only had this computer a year next month. My Smart Mouse is the simple left right clicker. Nothing fancy.

I called my husband at work after fighting with it for a day. I asked him to stop at Wal-Mart and buy me a new mouse. I gave him instructions on what I wanted. A simple left right clicker one, just like the one I had. I told him it would be about 10.00$.

He comes home and hands me the box. I must have stood in the middle of the living room for about 2 minutes just looking at the box. When I finally did speak, I said, "THIS THING HAS FIVE BUTTONS!!!! THERE IS NO ROLLER THING ON THE BOTTOM!! HOW MUCH DID THIS THING COST??????" His answer, "It was all they had." Ya, right. He showed me what it cost, 40.00$!!!!

The first thing I did was go on-line and looked the mouse up on Epinions. I wasn't opening up the box tell I saw what other people had to say about it. I was impressed, it was 95% recommend, with 185 reviews written about it. So I opened the box.

I put the disk in my drive and it was installed in no time. Easy enough there.

I plugged it into my mouse port and guess what, nothing. So I plugged my old on in, still nothing.

I plugged the new one in again and started to think that it was my computer and not the mouse. I pulled out the book and found on page two about connecting it to the computer. Boy did I feel dumb, talk about reading the instructions being important (husband is rubbing off on me). It said you can connect it to the USB (Universal Serial Bus) or to PS/2 mouse port. I took the round mouse port thing off the mouse and tried putting it in the USB. Sure enough it work!!

What are the highlights??

I have to say this thing is impressive. The bottom glows red. There is like a little laser or something on the bottom, no more cleaning the ball.

It's right or left hand friendly (This is one of the reasons I think my husband bought it. He's left handed).

Wheel scrolling, so you don't have to use the bar at the side of the screen.

There are buttons on each side of the mouse for going forward and backwards on you Internet browser. That's so you don't have to use the toolbar.

Then the regular left and right clicker buttons.

The mouse glides great on the mouse pad. The box says you don't need a mouse pad, but my desk is a mess (papers everywhere) and I just feel more comfortable having on the mouse pad

Very comfortable fit in the hand.

My husband did a great job picking this mouse out. Don't worry I told him so.
