Cougarrr 2000 Can't believe my headlight eyes.

Date of Review:  Jul 10, 2001
The Bottom Line: A pretty neat looking car. Has the style and comfort, that makes it fun to drive. Runs quiet and smooth, Not that bad on gas. Nice to own.
Review: Neat style designed by Ford Mercury
A major change from the classic cougar such as weight, size, and shape. Performance is also different.
The car is not intended for racing, but it can move fast.
You look at the Ford Taurus and you...

Give This Cat Room to Run.

Date of Review:  Jul 30, 2001
The Bottom Line: The RockyBugs highly recommend the Mercury Cougar. Smooth ride, good acceleration, and great to look at.
Review:
Mrs. RockyBug, Bug Child, and I decided to visit her family in NorthEast Iowa. The only airport around is about a 90 minute drive away in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. We rented a car from Hertz and got upgraded to the "sporty" class. The car was a 2000...

Good Styling, Value, but Read On...

Date of Review:  Oct 23, 1999
Review: I bought the Cougar for my wife who fell in love with how it looked. We did not physically look at other cars on the market because the Cougar, we thought, was the best looking car we could buy within our budget. All new cars on the market now are...

America's answer to the Eclipse and Celica

Date of Review:  Jan 4, 2002
The Bottom Line: I believe the Cougar is one of the best values in the market. The style and the power should keep the cars resale high. I recomend it.
Review: Can you beleive it! They are no longer making this car... after only 4 years with this design. That's a good thing I guess, I think it will keep the car more original (fewer of them on the road). I hope it keeps the car resale value at a decent...

2000 Mercury Cougar V6

Date of Review:  Dec 9, 2001
The Bottom Line: Recommended for children age 18-110
Review: Driving Impressions:

With such a bold shape, you would think the 2000 Mercury Cougar would offer head snapping acceleration. While the Cougar doesn't quite offer head snapping acceleration, this car is also no slowpoke either. The Cougar's...

I still love this kitty!

Date of Review:  Jul 19, 2001
The Bottom Line: A great car for the price, has held up beyond 100,000 miles and still looks good. 100% recommended.
Review: After 25,000 miles, my Cougar has yet to spend a second in the shop for anything other than routine maintenance. I got the 2.0l I4, and the gas mileage has remained in the mid-20s in the city, and upwards of 33mpg highway. People still gape at this...

Take a Step Back so she doesn't bite

Date of Review:  May 6, 2000
Review: I Have been in contact with two Cougar's in my life. The car that I learned to drive on was a 1978 Mercury Cougar. That car was a boat but it drove beautifully. It would glide along on the road despite it's size. It weighed about 2 tons and I...

Cougar definitely a cat in the fast lane

Date of Review:  Mar 5, 2000
Review: When the new design Cougars came out in 1999, I knew I had to get one. However, it was in the hands of my parents as they are the ones carrying the brunt of the payment book. I am glad that I waited until 2000, as a couple of "major minor" changes...

How I love my Ford Cougar 2.5 V6

Date of Review:  Aug 22, 2007
Review: Excellent shape. you cant help but look at it. The only thing I would say is the bottom half of the back is longer than the line of the boot, so it is a bit of a judgement when parking. Other than that is looks so slick and powerful.

The NEW Cougar

Date of Review:  Apr 27, 2001
The Bottom Line: If you want a sporty Ford product, but are SICK of seeing Mustangs everywhere, and want something different and slightly more affordable, the Cougar is for you.
Review: The 2000 and 2001 Cougars have been scoffed by many an auto enthusiast because they're not TRUE Cougars. Even a laymen can see that the retooling the Cougar underwent for the new millennium bears absolutely no resemblance to the Cougars of the 80's...
