Excellent value

I bought my 1999 Sable used in 02/01 with 20,000 miles on it. It's a lot of car for the money, very comfortable and easy to drive. The standard 6 gives adequate power, but is a little noisy under acceleration. However, it's very quiet and smooth at highway speeds. Quality overall is very good, just a couple of minor rattles. Had to take it back to the dealer to lubricate the tachometer cable and replace the windshield wiper switch (an identified recall item). I like the power seat, it's adjustable every which way, plus a lumbar support. The radio is excellent, although I'd prefer a CD player (apparently, the only way you can get one is with the 6-CD changer). Lots of rear seat room, and a voluminous trunk, although the opening is pretty narrow from front to back. So far, I'm very pleased with the car.
