My Sable wagon is a top of the line LS with leather, digital dash and all of the goodies. The only problem is these amenities are not nice when you are by the side of the road hitchiking when the engine dies. Almost all Ford 3800 engines blow head gaskets, if you are looking at a Sable, Taurus, Windstar, Mark VII, or continental, do not buy it!! Ford will not own up to the problem, and my Sable had less than 70,000 miles on it when the head gasket blew. But it was less than two months past their token warranty extension. I took it in to get the faulty head gasket fixed BEFORE it blew. Ford told me the Head gasket must blow first before they would repair their defective part. Sure enough it blew and left me stranded, Ford quit even returning my calls and E-mails. They stink. I sold my 95 Windstar after a horrible experience and bought a Toyota. I used to be a Ford Man, will not even look at another Ford product.
